Pioneer Credit has a long-term commitment to a number of projects that make a positive contribution to the community.
One of the defining aspects of these programs is the involvement of our team members who commit their time and energy – typically outside of working hours – to assist others in the community.
Below is a selection of the current projects we are involved with.
ToyBox International is a children’s charity dedicated to helping Australia’s sick and disadvantaged children.
ToyBox meets the cost of vital equipment and therapy for needy children to help them conquer the challenges life has brought them. It also funds incredible escapes so they can enjoy welcome distractions and inspiration to make their journeys easier, provides essential grants that support their families and allows them to be by their child’s side for comfort, and funds vital research so that future generations will not face these challenges.
Pioneer Credit supports ToyBox through a range of programs including the provision of Direct Debit Services and management of contributors on regular monthly payments.

During 2015, Pioneer Credit launched an exciting community-based volunteer program for our people.
They have committed to give some of their time outside of work hours to support various important charity projects. Each project is different and very rewarding.
More than 20 team members have put their hand up to get involved in the first project, which is making a real difference in the community.
Tour De Cure
For the past two years, Pioneer Credit has sponsored cancer fundraiser Can4Cancer’s Tour de Cure cycling event.
Since 2007 the Tour de Cure organisation, through its various events, has raised over $22 million for cancer research, support and prevention projects. In 2014, major sponsor Commonwealth Bank and Tour de Cure strengthened their partnership by hosting the Can4Cancer event, which also involves a number of business partners.
Pioneer is committed to working with our banking partners, including CBA, to support their outstanding work within the community.
In 2015 Pioneer Credit was a silver sponsor of the event, and this has been upgraded to a gold sponsorship for 2016.
The Tour de Cure will see 130 riders cycle 300km from Orange in regional NSW to Parramatta over a three day period during October 2016. The cyclists will visit a number of schools over the tour and share a ‘Be fit, be healthy, be happy’ cancer prevention message with hundreds of school children. Visits to Commonwealth Banks and a number of community events along the way will also allow the team to engage local communities in the fight to cure cancer.
One of the defining aspects of Pioneer’s support is the involvement of our people who commit their time and energy to assist others in the community.
During our 2015 sponsorship of the Tour de Cure, our team members threw their support behind the event, with two of our team volunteering to serve as part of the support crew and a further 130 people in our Perth office taking part in a spin challenge event on stationary bikes to raise additional funds for the cause.

Strike a Chord
Strike A Chord is a charitable association focused on sharing the gift of music with sick and disadvantaged children under the slogan ‘music is medicine’.
Pioneer Credit has been a supporter of Strike a Chord over many years. In addition to the company’s financial sponsorship, many Pioneer team members have volunteered their time to ensure the success of the organisation’s events.
Pioneer supported Strike a Chord’s inaugural ‘Rock Quiz’ fundraising event which was held in Perth in June 2016. The funds raised at the event will assist the organisation in continuing with its good work.
Strike A Chord has been active since 2008, making a significant difference in the lives of many sick and disadvantaged children and their families.
